Our proprietary MatchMade™ process ensures the best relationship fit between Intended Parents and their Surrogate. We have made more matches than any other agency and guarantee legal vetting and documentation based on your state laws are completed before matching.
Peer and professional support programs are offered to parents, and our in-house team of Licensed Mental Health professionals work with our surrogates throughout their journey.
Legal and Insurance Coverage
Circle provides in-house Legal professionals that align with each states’ regulations for parents throughout the entire journey, from initial consult all the way through to parentage. All legal costs are covered, managed by, and included in Circle’s flat fee.
We ensure your surrogate and maternity preferences are explicitly outlined, including termination decisions made by you.
Full maternity and delivery insurance is included without any exclusions.

Prescreening
Our Prescreening Team comprised of experienced surrogates and social workers connect with each applicant to discuss her application, gain clarity as needed, and answer any questions she might have. Our team gathers the following information:
Health and pregnancy history
Criminal and financial background checks
Insurance information
Medical records
If women meet our criteria to become a Circle surrogate after Prescreening, they will progress to the second step of the process.
How Circle Goes the Extra Mile
Many agencies complete only this first step in the screening process and consider a surrogate "screened" and ready for matching. Because of this, other agencies may have shorter or no wait times to match. At Circle, we encourage you to wait for a fully-screened and clinically cleared surrogate to match with to reduce the risk of match breaks and disappointment for all parties. This is a lifelong investment and family event.

Consultation
Circle employs an in-house team of licensed mental health professionals who have screened over 150,000 applicants and supported more than 3,000 surrogates through the process. Our experts not only understand what the surrogate process is, they have decades of firsthand experience to manage both smooth, and sometimes difficult, journeys.
During the surrogate consultation, which can last 2 hours, applicants are asked about the following:
Motivation to becoming a surrogate
Family and interpersonal relationships
Hobbies, interests, and life experiences
Her support network (women will be asked to identify a Primary Support Person for the duration of their journey)
Surrogacy journey expectations and preferences (including the level of communication and preferences for parents she'd prefer to partner with)
Views regarding termination and selective reduction

Psychological Exam
Each surrogate’s final screening step is completing a psychological testing using the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) which is interpreted by a licensed psychologist. The test is used to further screen the potential surrogate for psychological/psychiatric problems and assess her overall psychological functioning to determine if she is a suitable candidate for our program.
A surrogacy journey can be complex, and Circle Surrogacy facilitates a comprehensive screening process to determine the most promising candidates upfront. Of course, no one can predict human behavior, but we do our best to provide parents with as much confidence and security as possible.
