 What is surrogacy?

What is surrogacy?

Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction where intended parents work with a gestational surrogate who will carry and care for their baby(ies) until birth. Intended parents use surrogacy to start or grow their families when they can't do so on their own. An embryo that is created with the intended parents' biology (or donor eggs and/or sperm) is transferred into the carrier's uterus. Gestational surrogates have no genetic link to the baby(ies) they carry.

For intended parents in living in Norway and hoping to do Surrogacy in the USA, they can work with a U.S surrogacy agency who will match them with a surrogate mother who lives in the United States. All appointments for the surrogate will take place in the U.S, and the intended parents will travel from Norway to the U.S for the birth of their baby, and then return home as a family.

What surrogacy program should I choose?

Intended parents in Norway have a variety of family-building options with Circle Surrogacy. We offer programs to help as many individuals and couples as possible. Some intended parents come to us needing only a surrogate, while others require a surrogate and an egg donor. Some return for sibling journeys with the same gestational carrier. Others have a family or friend who is willing to act as their surrogate. There are also intended parents who aren't quite sure what they need, in which case we can help by asking and answering questions.
