In this video, Elinor, Liv, and Zachary (teens born with Circle Surrogacy) share their experiences growing up as children born through surrogacy.
The first question asked is, “How do you describe your families to other people?” Each panelist explained that they tell people they have two dads and they were born through surrogacy.
When asked if they grew up around any LGBTQ families, they said yes. Zachary added, “When I was younger my parents used to introduce us (him and his brother) more to LGBTQ families. As I’ve gotten older that hasn’t as much been the case. It’s interesting to note that family doesn’t really matter who’s in it whether it is a man and woman, two men, or two women.”
The Teen Panel was moderated by Stan J. Sloan at the Men Having Babies Conference in November of 2016.
