Becoming a Surrogate or Egg Donor:
The Path to Surrogacy - Introduction
Circle Surrogacy has many egg donors and surrogate mothers who return to offer their gift again and again; in addition, many new donors and surrogates are referred to the Circle program by others who are involved or have been involved in the past. Because there are always Intended
Parents hoping to be matched with donors and carriers, Circle also places ads in order to recruit new donors and carriers into the program. Perhaps you are here because of one of those ads.
Once you have found Circle Surrogacy and perused our website for answers to your initial questions, please call our office (1-800-287-1713) to speak to one of our staff, or take a moment to fill out the form youll find on the website. This will allow us to determine if you are a strong candidate for surrogacy.
Circle will then email you a detailed questionnaire for you to submit, along with photos of yourself, your children, or anything else you feel will best portray you to the Intended Parents. You will be required to offer very specific information about your own health background, and that of your parents and grandparents, along with details about your previous pregnancies and birth experiences. Remember that this questionnaire and these photos will be your introduction to the Intended
Parents, so be candid, and give them the opportunity to get to know you in that way.
You will understand that Circle Surrogacy must conduct in-depth background checks, financial and criminal, on all Potential Surrogate Mothers. Also, at this point, you will begin to be interviewed by a Social Worker who needs to learn as much as possible about your goals and motivation. This is also your chance to ask questions and learn about the process. For carriers, we also ask to speak with their husbands or partner. It is imperative that you have the full support of your
partner throughout this amazing journey.
When you have completed all of these steps and are approved as a donor or carrier, then the Circle Surrogacy staff will begin the careful and exciting process of matching you to Intended Parents.
You can find out more about the process at the FAQ sections for egg donors and for gestational surrogates. You may also take a look at the process from the perspective of the intended parents.
