Circle Surrogacy Moves to New Head Offices, Alongside Newly Formed Weltman Law Group
In a move designed to allow greater flexibility and provide more resources for Circle Surrogacy to grow, Weltman and his legal team amicably separated from Lawson & Weitzen and formed a new law firm. In addition to the new offices and improved IT equipment, additional staff, new positions and the creation of a Speakers Bureau were also announced, aimed to handle growth and provide opportunities for more carriers and parents to take an active part in the surrogacy process.

Boston, February 1, 2010

Circle Surrogacy today opened its new world headquarters at 200 High Street in Boston, a move that coincides with the formation of a new law firm, The Weltman Law Group. LLP, also to reside in the same location. John Weltman, Circle's President, explained that these steps were designed to better serve the agency's growing family of surrogates, egg donors and parents. "Indeed we are hoping to welcome our 450th baby into the program this year," said Weltman, "and to accommodate the growth we also expanded our staff."

New staff member include Jennifer Brennan as a new social worker, and Norma DeHarte, one of our former surrogates moms, to develop programs to engage and receive feedback from our terrific family of surrogates." Additionally, Elliott Kronenfeld, a social worker and a Circle father himself, has been appointed to the new position of Director of Parent Relations. He will be focusing on the overall parent experience from initial inquiry through the transition back home, and beyond. Elliott will work closely with the entire social work team, each of whom accompanies specific parents as they move through the surrogacy journey. "Our efforts to reach out and foster ongoing relationships with both parents and carriers," said Weltman, "underline our desire to make the surrogacy process even more participatory and respond to the desire many of our clients and surrogates who approached us with requests to stay engaged. To that effect we are setting up a more formal Speakers Bureau, and developing programs to help you serve as mentors and host house parties for new parents and surrogates."

John Weltman, one of the leading commercial litigator and family lawyers in Massachusetts, and a world leading specialist in surrogacy, has been practicing law for over 25 years, the last 15 of which were with law firm of Lawson & Weitzen in Boston. Lawson & Weitzen has for many years provided legal and escrow services for the clients of Circle Surrogacy. In order to allow the flexibility and resources for Circle Surrogacy to grow, evolve and provide additional services to its clients, Mr. Weltman amicably separated from Lawson & Weitzen and established the Weltman Law Group to take over all services previously provided by L&W.

Joining The Weltman Law Group are all the legal professionals from L&W who have been providing support to Circle Surrogacy in the past. These include John Weltman, Scott Buckley and Gina Marie Mariano. This will insure that Circle Surrogacy will continue to benefit from the expertise and full range of legal services previously provided by L&W.

For its clients, Circle Surrogacy and the Weltman Law Group will continue to provide full protection of their funds held in IOLTA trust accounts. Like all attorneys practicing law in Massachusetts, Mr. Weltman is personally held to the stringent accounting, oversight, and management standards with regards to client's funds.

"All of us at Circle Surrogacy and The Weltman Law Group are very excited to finally be in a situation and space that will fully accommodate the needs of our intended parents, surrogates and egg donors," said John Weltman. "The location at 200 High Street is in the heart of Boston's Financial District and it is very accessible for our clients, many of which arrive by air or train," he said. Barbara DeLeo, Circle Surrogacy's COO, oversaw the swift transition, that also included major upgrades in the agency's IT and telecommunication infrastructure. "The new office has both a patio deck and a penthouse overlooking the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the Boston Harbor, which makes an efficient and pleasant environment for our staff and clients," said Ms. DeLeo.
