After offering an extensive seminar about "Surrogatföräldraskap i USA för svenska par och singlar" last year, Circle Surrogacy is returning to Stockholm to meet with potential parents. In this seminar we will present several new programs we developed in order to make the process more affordable for parents, without any compromise on quality and our very high success rates.

Circle Surrogacy has been helping couples and singles have children through surrogacy for more than 13 years. In Sweden we helped bring to the world about a dozen babies so far, with at least 4 more on their way and several more couples and singles that recently started the process. Our philosophy is to facilitate a circle of families who help create new families. The surrogate mothers who get accepted to our program (only about 1 out of every 30 applicants) are highly suitable and motivated to help our intended parents have children, and we assure that their spouses are also completely aboard with this endeavor. We also screen our intended parents and make sure that they are willing to treat the egg donors (who sometimes are friends or family members) and surrogate mothers with the full respect and appreciation they deserve. Most of the people working at Circle are either parents through surrogacy, or former surrogates or egg donors themselves. We are proud of how we created our families, and are motivated to help others fulfill their dreams as well.

Admission is free.

The seminar is expected to last about hours. Individual consultations can also be scheduled for prospective parents who would like to further explore these options with Circle's representatives while they are in Stockholm.

Why should you consider surrogacy in the USA?

Surrogacy is prohibited in Sweden, but it is legal for Swedish citizens to have children through surrogacy abroad and bring them back after the birth.

The United States is widely considered to be the preferable country for surrogacy among Europeans and other international parents due to legal, societal and medical conditions. In the USA almost every state permits compensated surrogacy and no appeals court in any state has ever given custody to a gestational carrier. The US also offers a supportive environment for surrogates and couples. Recent stories in Swedish American and European media including Sydsvenskan, Svenska Dagbladt, CNN, the New York Times, Tribune de Genève,  Newsweek, and Wall Street Journal, all of which feature interviews with Circle Surrogacy’s president and clients, demonstrate a growing acceptance of surrogacy. John Weltman was quoted in Newsweek as saying that parents who work with a reputable agency like Circle have a "99 percent chance of getting a baby and a 100 percent chance of keeping it."

Having children in the States can be relatively easy for international couples. It is only necessary to come to the United States three to four times, including the 20-week ultrasound and birth. Departures from the United States are easy as well - most international couples return to their countries within 2 weeks of the birth of their children, with their names on the birth certificate and US Passports, if they choose to apply for them.

Circle's success with international clients may be attributed to the special attention that is given to addressing every country’s needs and legal circumstances. We have studied the laws in each country, and in some of the most frequent destinations such as Sweden, we have partnered with local organizations and lawyers to provide a complete solution for our clients before and after the birth. Together with our partners we strive to deepen our understanding of Swedish laws that determine which legal strategy would work best to ensure that couples can return and gain full legal rights for both parents and newborns back home (this strategy be different due to personal circumstances). Once they become clients, Circle’s staff leads all parents through the logistical, legal and administrative processes involved from day one, and until they gain full custody of their newborns and bring them home.
