Experienced

Circle Surrogacy is the nation's oldest full service gay surrogacy agency, serving clients from around the USA and 32 countries worldwide. Since 1995, Circle Surrogacy has helped bring to the world over 250 babies. Circle’s dedicated staff of professionals in Boston, New York, Indiana, Texas and Arizona is made up of lawyers, social workers, parents through surrogacy, surrogates and donors.

Professional & Personal

John Weltman, owner, founder is a Yale graduate and a nationally recognized expert in the field of reproductive law, including surrogacy and gay parenting. John and his partner of 25 years (now husband!) began their surrogacy journey in 1991 and had two boys, now 14 and 13, through the same surrogate. John was interviewed and appeared in numerous publications, TV programs, and conferences throughout the USA, Europe, Canada, and Israel.

Effective

Circle Surrogacy has built a pool of quality egg donors and an effective matching process with carefully screened surrogates, has developed a superior circle of IVF clinics, and has perfected its methodology to achieve unmatched success rates of close to 100% in clients becoming parents through egg donor surrogacy.

Growing...

Our program is continuing to experience a growing number of clients and births (see our Surrogacy Update page), especially due to a growing number of international clients (now 40%). To meet the growing demand we have been adding staff (see our updated About Us page), and increased our surrogate recruiting efforts. The additional staff and wider surrogate recruiting allowed us to reduce waiting time for matches. We are also continuing to offer new innovations in order to make the surrogacy process shorter and more affordable.

“Surrogate Mother's New Niche: Bearing Babies for Gay Couples”
Rick, Cary and Lura during
her last pregnancy
In May of 2005 the New York Times published a front page article describing “a growing movement of surrogate mothers choosing gay couples over traditional families.”  A major reason for the trend, according to the author Ginia Bellafante, that gay men have "a reputation as especially grateful clients.” John Weltman, Circle's president, is quoted in the article about how he initially had a challenging time finding women to carry children for gay men when he founded the agency in 1995. Today, he reported, "80 percent of the surrogate mothers who come to him say they would be willing to work with gay couples, and half prefer to work with gay couples." Featured in the article are several of Circle Surrogacy’s surrogates, including Ms. Stiller, 34, a homemaker who delivered baby Samantha for Circle clients Rick & Cary. Three years later Laura also delivered for the couple Samantha's brother and d sister,  Jeremy and Maggie.
