Controlling Costs

John started his program with the intent of keeping costs down, in order to make surrogacy an afford-able alternative to private adoption.

Gestational Surrogacy Program Options:
Circle offers eleven different programs to suit the needs of our various clients, with standard costs ranging from about $85,000 to $126,000 for egg donor surrogacy.

The cost for egg donation, including legal fees, runs around $4,000 - $20,000.

ANTICIPATED PROGRAM EXPENSES FOR GESTATIONAL SURROGACY

In 2008 Circle Surrogacy introduced a new format of cost estimates with much more details than most agencies provide. Based on client feedback, the 2010 cost estimates are even more realistic and transparent than before, with more explicit guidelines to help prospective clients assess possible contingency costs. In general, the cost for gestational surrogacy, including all agency fees, attorneys' fees, screening and surrogate fees (but excluding medical and insurance costs) range from around $$58,000 to $73,000, depending the program chosen by our clients. These programs vary in the source of the egg donation, IVF insurance coverage, legal needs and other circumstances. Total program costs, depending on your choice of fertility center and medical and insurance options, could range from around $85,000 to $126,000 for egg donor surrogacy. Optional components can add 5-10% to the costs, and we also suggest that clients allow for 10-15% possible variable and costs above their standard program estimates, to allow for unforeseen developments, as detailed in the "other costs for consideration" page of each program.

Circle is providing a wide choice of clinics that have among the best success rates in the country, varying in costs, locations and other options. We created two versions of some of the plan estimates based on the actual medical fees of our most frequently used IVF clinics (instead of offering averages). The "Standard" option is based on a Boston area clinic, where charges can be as much as $10,000 less than some of our other clinics, while providing the same high quality service. The "Premium" option is based on actual costs at Connecticut Fertility Associates, our most popular clinic. Clinics around the NY Metropolitan area tend to be more expensive than clinics in Boston, California, etc.  However, CFA also offers additional options not offered by Boston area clinics such as their own donor pool, shared cycles, frozen egg banks and guaranteed baby plans.

1 If you are not providing your own eggs or those of a friend or relative, we will find you an egg donor.

2 If you are not providing your own sperm or that of a friend or relative, and also not providing your own eggs, we will suggest the use of our unique embryo donation program.

3 Note that this option is only available in certain US states, and unfortunately only for heterosexual couples who demonstrate medical need (you may email us for more information if you think you may be eligible). Also note that in similar circumstances these costs can be at least tax deductible.

     

    ANTICIPATED PROGRAM EXPENSES Frozen Embryo Surrogacy

The form above directs you to one of nine programs we have for gestational surrogacy for people who have never had a child through surrogacy or IVF. However, if you already have frozen embryos from a previous cycle (if you are interested in having siblings, for example), you should check our Frozen Embryos Program for USA residents or for international ones. Note, however, that these are the costs for the entire surrogacy process, and not the medical costs some people incur if they need to repeat a transfer since pregnancy did not occur on the first attempt (these costs are much lower and are indicated in the "other costs for consideration" page of each program).



 

ANTICIPATED PROGRAM EXPENSES FOR EGG DONATION

For clients that only require egg donation, we offer two programs:

-  Egg Donation only (for clients that are already engaged with an IVF clinic or have insurance coverage for the IVF process):  ED - Excluding IVF

- Egg Donation for USA and international clients, including screening (parents and donor) and the IVF process:  ED - US & International

Circle Surrogacy complies with ASRM guidelines for egg donation compensation.
