Susan's letter: My experience carrying twins for a Swedish gay couple

Susan, a two-times Circle surrogate mother from Missouri, have given birth to twin boys in May, sons of a gay couple from Sweden. Read below about her experience and the bond she forged with her IPs...

June 8, 2008

I delivered another load of milk to the guys on Friday (just call me Madam Moo) and Joe snapped this picture on his phone. Georg is on the left and Adrian is on the right. Thought you guys would appreciate it.

I just wanted to say thank you for all that you have done for me in the past two years. When you matched me with the guys, I was worried that there would be no relationship because of the cultural differences and their distance. I could not have been more wrong. I consider these men and babies a part of my family now and they feel the same. I feel so incredibly blessed that they are in my life. I will cry like a small child when they return to Sweden in two weeks but I know that they will always be a part of our lives. I cannot thank you enough for introducing us and allowing this relationship to begin. I consider this the perfect surrogacy journey which is pretty amazing considering that it consisted of 14 weeks of bedrest.

I am currently fighting off my pregnancy/surrogacy cravings. My OB has cleared me to be pregnant again and Dr. D has stated that he will also though I haven't sent him my records yet (trying to fight the craving). I am hoping that as time goes on I will be happy with my two journeys. If not, I'm sure I'll be back to make your lives a living he!! again.
